Picnics and Warming Huts

At Skansen there are lots of places to eat your packed meal. Some of them has tables where you can eat comfortable.

  • At Skansen, there are many opportunities to enjoy your own packed meal! At the Forestry Center, you can sit indoors, and outdoors there are many beautiful spots to settle down, some equipped with tables and benchen the map below, you will find marked picnic areas and warming huts.

    During the winter, you can warm up in the Forest House, in our temporary tent hut near Bollnästorget, or in one of our greenhouses, which have limited seating. If you prefer to eat outdoors, there are tables and benches at Offerholmen, Balderslunden, and Torslunden behind Ekshäradsgården. The Forestry Center is equipped with two microwave ovens for heating your own food.

    The grills are lit daily unless there is a fire ban in place. Bringing your own grill is not permitted.

    In summer, there are even more options – sit down on the grass or on a bench and enjoy the beautiful views.
