Experience a historic Christmas market, dating back to 1903. Buy everything from handicrafts and design to sweets, home-made candles and secret Christmas presents. The Christmas Market is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 25 November until 18 December, 10.00-16.00.
Skansen’s Christmas market has been a tradition since 1903. The bonfires are lit and the many market stalls are filled with delicacies for the Christmas table and locally produced crafts. There are also plenty of wonderful taste experiences such as waffles, mulled wine and roasted almonds.
In addition to the market at the Bollnäs square you can take part in the tradition and history around Christmas, where both humans and animals are part of the story. Warm up by the open fire in one of the houses and farmsteads, listen to legends about Christmas traditions and celebrations from the past. Meet our winter awake animals and learn about their significance for Christmas and take part in activities and crafts for young and old around the park.
Skansen’s museum shops are open every day, so take the opportunity to buy your Christmas presents on site or via skansenbutiken.se.
