Dance around the Christmas tree
Dance along with Julorkestern (the Christmas orchestra), Ayla Kabaca and Skansen’s folk dancers, every day during the Christmas market.

Christmas carols
Take a moment to hear the Cantare choir sing Christmas carols as they spread holiday spirit around Skansen, on Saturdays and Sundays during the Christmas market.

Secret Christmas gifts
A long-lived tradition at the market is the stall with our wrapped secret Christmas presents! Surprise loved ones with a secret gift for Christmas.
In addition to the market at the Bollnäs square you can take part in the tradition and history around Christmas, where both humans and animals are part of the story. Warm up by the open fire in one of the houses and farmsteads, listen to legends about Christmas traditions and celebrations from the past. Meet our non-hibernating animals and learn about their significance for Christmas and take part in activities and crafts for young and old around the park.
