Print a memory for life

In the bookprinter's workshop, real printers work in period costume. These are some of the few professionals who still practise the craft.

  • The printer will meet you at Skansen’s main entrance, and will accompany you through the atmospheric Old Town Quarter to the Printer’s Workshop. There, the printer will explain about the historic setting and the art of book printing, before demonstrating printing techniques that were common for many centuries. You can then try using the hand press yourself, printing your own cards to take home. Other hand-printed cards with various motifs can be purchased on site.
