This unique experience allows children, along with their accompanying adult, to get up close with the animals at Lill-Skansen and take part in daily tasks to ensure the animals’ well-being.
Together with our dedicated zookeepers, you’ll help with the morning routines at Lill-Skansen. Take part in preparing the animals’ environments, changing their water, and refreshing their bedding while learning how to observe signs of their health and happiness. It’s a fun and educational activity that creates lasting memories—and fosters a deeper understanding of animals’ needs. We tailor the experience to suit the child’s age and level of knowledge.

Meeting point: We meet at the main entrance
Duration: 1.5 hours
Group size: Minimum 2, maximum 5 children*
Age limit: Children aged 4-10 years, accompanied by an adult
Price: 900 SEK/child. The price includes one free adult and admission to Skansen.

Annual pass holders and members of Skansen’s and the Nordic Museum’s friends’ associations receive a 10% discount. Use the code “annual pass” when booking. Please bring your annual or membership card to the tour.
*The tour requires a minimum of two children to be conducted. If fewer than two children are signed up, Skansen reserves the right to reschedule the experience to another day.
**Full refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the tour starts. If you need to cancel less than 48 hours before the tour, you may reschedule for another day.
