Curator tours of the exhibition Vuoi ihán – Contemporary Sami art

On September 7 2024 the exhibition "Vuoi ihán – Contemporary Sami art" opens in Ekshärad farmstead. During its opening day, the curators will offer in-depth tours (30 minutes) of the exhibition's themes, participating artists, and their works.

  • Through the works of six artists, the Sami diversity, often overlooked and simplified, takes a self-evident and vital place. The exhibition is produced by Verdde and curated by Maria Ragnestam and Ellen B. Dalbakk.

    Tickets: The number of spots is limited. Tickets for each time slot can be collected during the day at the information booth at Bollnäs square.

    The tours are free and are included in your entrance fee to Skansen.

The exhibition Vuoi ihán depicts stories from a contemporary and enlightened future where history is always present. Through the works of six artists, the Sami diversity, often overlooked and simplified, takes a self-evident and vital place.

Artists are Siri Baggerman, Niilas Helander, Geir Tore Holm, Tilde-Ristin Kuoljok, Radio-JusSunná/Sunna Nousuniemi and Lisa Kejonen Pauker.
