Baltic Sea Science Center

Welcome to experience the life beneath the surface of the Baltic Sea and meet some of its many inhabitants.

  • In our aquariums you can see underwater environments from coastal archipelagos to the open sea. The aquariums have different water systems with both brackish water and water with a relatively high salt content. Come along below the surface and experience the fantastic diversity of the Baltic Sea!

    About the Baltic Sea

    The Baltic Sea we have today is a young part of the world ocean, younger than 3000 years. Before that it has been both lake and sea with both fresh and salt water and it continues to change.
