Älvros Farmstead

The Älvros Farmstead shows what life was like at a farmstead in Härjedalen in northern Sweden. Here, the main way of life involved cattle breeding. The soil tended to be poor, and was suitable for growing barley. Forestry was another important part of the economy, and people lived in close proximity to wild animals such as bears, wolves and elk.
