About Young voices for the Baltic Sea
Are you between 18 och 25 years old and love the ocean? Do you want to learn about life below the surface and be a part of change for the future together with other young people? Apply for Young voices for the Baltic Sea!
What is ”Young voices for the Baltic Sea”?
This project is a unique opportunity to bring ocean issues to the surface together with other committed people and to influence politicians and others. The platform is there – you set the agenda! During 2024-2025 you will meet digitally and irl and get to know and inspire one another, learn more about the ocean and creative ways to influence others.

Weekend workshop in Malmö
When? 13-15 september 2024
Where? Naturum Öresund in Malmö
During a weekend in September you will meet up and explore life below the surface together with experts and educators at Marint Kunskapscenter in Malmö. Through snorkeling and different methods for collecting organisms you will experience the sea with all senses. Lectures, workshops and discussions will add to your knowledge and insight as to why the sea is so important. A key issue will also be how to engage young people.Digital meeting

A chance to meet up again and make plans for an event in Stockholm.Workshop/conference in Stockholm
When? Spring 2025
Where? Baltic Sea Science Center at Skansen in Stockholm
During two days in spring 2025 you will meet up again, this time in Stockholm. The event will be planned by you- maybe as an open event, as an art installation or for specially invited guests – you will set the agenda!2025 UN Ocean Conference
In June 2025 the UN will hold an ocean conference in Nice in France. Hopefully some of you will get to attend!
What does it cost to join?
Virtually noting! Travels by train or boat to Malmö and Stockholm will be payed for, as well as food, lodging and all activities. Your contribution will be your time and your commitment!
Young Voices for the Baltic Sea is a collaboration between Baltic Sea Science Center in Stockholm and Marint kunskapscenter in Malmö.
